1591 Series | ABS Plastic Multipurpose Enclosures with Card Guides
Flame Retardant, General Purpose, Flanged Lid or Bottom.

Product Features
  • Ideally suited for vertical mounting of printed circuit boards.
  • Card guides are moulded into all side walls and accept 1.5mm (0.062") thick boards.
  • Lap joint construction provides protection against access of dust and splashing water.
  • Designed to meet IP54.
  • Standard versions are moulded from easy-to-machine flame retardant ABS plastic which carries a UL flammability rating of UL94-V0.
  • Economy versions are moulded from general purpose plastic and are not flame retardant.
  • On standard versions the lid is secured with M3 x 10mm Phillips machine screws, threaded into integral brass bushings. Perfect for applications when repetitive assembly and disassembly are required.
  • Economy versions are assembled with self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts.
  • Black enclosures include black screws, while light grey enclosures include standard nickel finish screws.
  • Note: Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic. Please read our chemical resistance statement here for more information.
Assembly Hardware
  • Replacement machine lid screws for standard flame-retardant versions are available in packs of 100: 1591MS100 (nickel plated) or 1591MS100BK (black).
  • Replacement self-tapping lid screws for economy versions are available in packs of 100: 1591TS100 (nickel plated) or 1591TS100BK (black).
PC Board Card Adaptors
  • Allows mounting of PC boards horizontally within the enclosure.
  • Moulded from flame retardant ABS plastic.
    • Part number: 1591Z6 - pack of 6.
    • Part number: 1591Z50 - pack of 50.
    • Part number: 1591Z100 - pack of 100.

Product Customisation Options:
What makes KGA Enclosures Ltd different from most other larger distributors is that we can offer full customisation services on all enclosures and accessories. All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some smaller production runs are done by utilizing an outside contractor) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches, etc. Printing and silk-screening services all for the addition of text, logos, and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product, and to allow the final product to look more elegant. Almost every enclosure will need some kind of modification to be useful. In house, modifications can be tedious, over-complicated, and a distraction from your core business.
