- Card guides are moulded into all side walls and accept 1.5mm (0.062") thick boards.
- Lap joint construction provides protection against access of dust and splashing water.

- Standard versions are moulded from easy-to-machine flame retardant ABS plastic which carries a UL flammability rating of UL94-V0.
- Economy versions are moulded from general purpose plastic and are not flame retardant.
- On standard versions the lid is secured with M3 x 10mm Phillips machine screws, threaded into integral brass bushings. Perfect for applications when repetitive assembly and disassembly are required.
- Economy versions are assembled with self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts.
- Black enclosures include black screws, while light grey enclosures include standard nickel finish screws.

- Replacement machine lid screws for standard flame-retardant versions are available in packs of 100: 1591MS100 (nickel plated) or 1591MS100BK (black).
- Replacement self-tapping lid screws for economy versions are available in packs of 100: 1591TS100 (nickel plated) or 1591TS100BK (black).
- Allows mounting of PC boards horizontally within the enclosure.
