Customisation Options

Product Features

Ergonomically designed for handheld comfort.
All sizes except 1553AA and 1553A available with or without battery compartment.
Moulded in general purpose ABS plastic with a soft plastic overmould for comfortable grip.
Top cover is recessed for membrane display or keypad.
PC board standoffs are moulded into case.
Includes removable front panel (except 1553AA and 1553A sizes) and assembly hardware.
Battery door and compartment version includes 4x battery clips (for 2x AA batteries) and 1x 9 volt (PP3) battery clip.
Grey 1553 Series enclosures include nickel plated screws. All other colours use black screws. Refer to product datasheet's for correct part numbers.
PC board mounting screws are not included. Order part number 1593ATS50 (pack of 50) or 1593ATS100 (pack of 100).
Versions without a battery door are designed to meet IP54 ratings.

Belt/Pocket Clips

Moulded from tough nylon.
Includes 2x nylon screws (insulated to avoid interference).
Mounting template included (user drilling required).

- Part number: 1599CLIPGY - grey.

IR End Panels

Replaces existing front plastic panel.
Dark red plastic filter is transparent to IR.
- Part number: 1553BIR-BULK - for all 1553 Series "B" sized enclosures.
- Part number: 1553DIR-BULK - for all 1553 Series "D" sized enclosures.

ProtoBoard Printed Circuit Boards

High quality FR4 glass epoxy board.
Mounting screws included.
Lead free etched copper PC board with a flux coating for easy soldering.
0.042" holes drilled on 0.1" centers.

Hammond Manufacturing Customisation Services

Product Customisation Options:

What makes KGA Enclosures Ltd different from most other larger distributors is that we can offer full customisation services on all enclosures and accessories. All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some smaller production runs are done by utilizing an outside contractor) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches, etc. Printing and silk-screening services all for the addition of text, logos, and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product, and to allow the final product to look more elegant. Almost every enclosure will need some kind of modification to be useful. In house, modifications can be tedious, over-complicated, and a distraction from your core business. A third party shop can add time and expense. Let us help you by delivering quality products made to your exact specifications.
