1551 Series | ABS Plastic Miniature Hand Held Enclosures
General Purpose, Mounting Flanges, Key Rings.

Product Features
  • Ideally suited for mounting small printed circuit boards or for use as potting boxes.
  • Moulded in a choice of black, grey or translucent blue general purpose ABS plastic.
  • All sizes also available with an integrated flange. Flanged sizes available in black or grey only.
  • Two or four self-tapping screws included, depending on size.
  • Screws are colour matched to enclosure (nickel plated screws with grey enclosures and black plated with black and blue enclosures).
  • Two or four PC board standoffs moulded into interior, depending on size.
  • Lap joint construction provides protection against access of dust and splashing water.
  • designed to meet IP54.
  • Some size are available with a keyring kit.
  • Models with key ring kit are predrilled in the narrow side.
  • Note: Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic. Please read our chemical resistance statement for more information.
Product Notes
  • Walls are 2mm (0.08") thick.
Assembly Hardware
  • Self-tapping lid screws are #4 x 1/2". For replacements, see part number 1591TS100 (nickel plated, pack of 100) or 1591TS100BK (black, pack of 100).
  • To secure PC boards, use self-tapping #2 x 3/16" screws. Not included with enclosures. See part number 1551ATS100 (nickel plated, pack of 100).

Hammond Manufacturing Customisation Services
Product Customisation Options:
What makes KGA Enclosures Ltd different from most other larger distributors is that we can offer full customisation services on all enclosures and accessories. All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some smaller production runs are done by utilizing an outside contractor) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches, etc. Printing and silk-screening services all for the addition of text, logos, and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product, and to allow the final product to look more elegant. Almost every enclosure will need some kind of modification to be useful. In house, modifications can be tedious, over-complicated, and a distraction from your core business. A third party shop can add time and expense. Let us help you by delivering quality products made to your exact specifications.
