1590-RIBBED Series | Diecast Aluminium Enclosures

With Internal Ribs.

Product Features

Rugged, diecast aluminium alloy (tough - yet easy to machine), electronic instrument enclosure.
Lap joint construction provides protection against access of dust and splashing water.
Unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
Satin black painted version is painted with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining. Black screws are included to enhance appearance.
Includes screws threaded into factory-tapped holes. Screw type and quantity vary.
Standard versions are designed to meet IP54.
Water-tight versions are designed to meet IP65 and include a gasket which is supplied loose inside the enclosure (not pre-installed).
Low side wall draft angle (2-degrees or less) for easy PC board mounting.

Gasket Kits - IP65

Note: Gaskets are included with watertight 1590 Series enclosures. They can also be purchased as a kit if you'd like to upgrade an IP54 enclosure to IP65. Not available for all sizes.

Each kit includes two pre-formed silicone gaskets.
Gaskets include adhesive backing for easy installation.
Allows enclosure to be machined and/or painted first and gasketed later.
Gasket is applied to the lid.
Designed to meet IP65 with properly installed gasket and lid screws torqued to 25-30 cN.m. (36-43 ozf/in.).

Product Customisation Options:

What makes KGA Enclosures Ltd different from most other larger distributors is that we can offer full customisation services on all enclosures and accessories. All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some smaller production runs are done by utilizing an outside contractor) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches, etc. Printing and silk-screening services all for the addition of text, logos, and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product, and to allow the final product to look more elegant. Modified Electronic Enclosures:

Almost every enclosure will need some kind of modification to be useful. In house, modifications can be tedious, over-complicated, and a distraction from your core business. A third party shop can add time and expense. Let us help you by delivering quality products made to your exact specifications.
