1414 Series Type 12 Mild Steel Junction Box

Lift-Off Cover With Clamps

Product Application:

Designed for use as instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes or terminal wiring enclosures.
Provides a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water.

Product Construction:

Body formed from 16 gauge or 14 gauge steel. Covers are formed from 14 gauge steel.
Smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes.
Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting.
Lift off cover is secured with stainless steel clamps and plated steel screws and retained with a plated chain when open.
Seamless poured-in place gasket.
Models larger than 4" x 4" include a removable 14 gauge inner panel.
Internal threaded weld studs are provided for mounting inner panels.
A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is provided on the enclosure.

Product Finish:

Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 grey recoatable powder coating.
Removable inner panel is finished in white powder coating.

Product Standards:

UL 508A Type 12 and 13.
CSA Type 12 and 13.
Complies with:
- NEMA Type 12 and 13
- IEC 60529, IP54

What makes KGA Enclosures Ltd different from most other larger distributors is that we offer full customisation services on all enclosure and accessories (where applicable). All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some small projects are done utilizing outside contractors) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching of holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches etc. Printing and silk screening services allow for the addition of text, logos and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product as well as giving the final product a more elegant finish. Typically the minimum order quantity is 25 pieces. This can vary depending on product and service required. Please note KGA Enclosures does not add on any charges.

Hammond Manufacturing helps eliminate scrap and design errors with approval drawings to confirm correct interpretation of your deign required.
