1598R Series ABS Plastic Instrument Enclosures
EMI/RFI Copper Conductive Coating Inside
Product Features:
  • Desk top electronic instrument enclosures, ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards.
  • Moulded from flame retardant ABS plastic (material carries a UL flammability rating of 94V-0).
  • Interior of each enclosure half is specially masked and sprayed with an RFI/EMI copper conductive coating.
  • Coating manufacturer specifies an attenuation of more than 75 db from 1 Mhz. to 1 Ghz.
  • Designed to meet IP54.
  • Two sets of vertical 1.5mm (0.062") P.C. board guides are moulded into case halves front and rear.
  • Front and rear panels are 1.6mm (0.064") brushed aluminium with protective paper on one side.
  • Cases halves are secured with M3 x 0.5" x 10mm (0.39") Philips machine screws threaded into tapped integral brass bushings. Perfect for applications with repetitive assembly and disassembly are required.
  • Integral horizontal P.C. card mounts on Eurocard center's.
  • Stocked in matte textured black.

  • P.C. card standoffs moulded into top and bottom half of enclosure - require #6 x 1/4" (6.4mm) screws - Part number 1598ATS100.

What makes KGA Enclosures Ltd different from most other larger distributors is that we offer full customisation services on all enclosure and accessories (where applicable). All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some small projects are done utilizing outside contractors) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching of holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches etc. Printing and silk screening services allow for the addition of text, logos and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product as well as giving the final product a more elegant finish.
